Professor A Y Shah, the name I saw first time on notice board of HLBBA in 2002. I was from science background and Accounts Professor name got my fear doubled towards attending Accounts lecture. While I attended lectures and went through the degree of BBA, on last day, Professor A Y Shah turned to be my mentor Abhi Sir, who if had not held my hand, I would never have reached today where I am. His pleasing personality and sharp mindset got me my first job. Today though being in HR, may it be life or any professional decision, consulting him is inevitable. He has been mentor and guide to many like me. HR as a profession I took up, inspiring his way of work to support, guide and shape career of many who come across. Touching lives always, I learnt from him and I have imbibed it in my work ethics. I am sure his expertise and nature will definitely help many like me. For him, I might be just one student but for students like me, he himself is an institute. I wish him all the best of luck.

I have known Abhishek Sir for almost 6 years now. I come from a completely different background and Abhishek Sir completed this humongous task for me of making me understand Accounts, right from the basics, at a conceptual level….. I feel really grateful to Sir and his team for making Accounts simple and understandable for a person like me.

Also, the second need of the hour is an appropriate career advising not just for the student, but keeping the entire background in mind. Knowing Sir’s tremendous experience of two decades, and his excellent qualities of empathy and effective communication, I am sure “Paramarsh” is going to reach out and prove really helpful to many students of Gujarat to choose the right direction for their future Education and Career plans. Due to his affable and convivial nature, Prof. Abhishek Shah or AYS as we fondly addressed him, was the most accessible professors for any student for any issue that they faced in the college. With his extremely nuanced understanding about issues academic and otherwise, Abhishek Sir would impart us lessons which held significance not merely in the class but even beyond the same. Being a part of the first batch of Ahmedabad University at the HL Institute of Commerce, there was a pertinent need for a Professor who could help the students who were entering into a completely new system of education and Abhishek Sir without a doubt, played this role to the T. Abhishek Sir would almost always be involved in some or the other kind of invisible aspect of organising of cultural, academic or any form of programmes- almost always not being on the stage but making sure that everyone on the ground is moving precisely to ensure that everything on the stage happens perfectly. His 
prescient nature was also visible in the way he handled the nitty-gritties of alumni related subjects due to which I was constantly in touch with him even after completion of the course at college.  

Abhishek Sir has now decided to initiate a venture of his own named Paramarsh and I could not have been happier than this to being a witness of the same. His experience and learnings from being a part of one of the most reputed academic Institutes in Gujarat gives him an incredible wealth of knowledge that can help in students in their most decisive years who need a sound advice before taking their next step in their careers. I wish Sir all the best and I am very sure that the students who shall seek his counsel can assure themselves of receiving not merely a professionally sound advice but nuggets which shall hold them in
good stead much beyond their educational years in their future years to come as well.

I came across Dr. Abhishek Y Shah as my professor for Accountancy during my graduation in 2002. His simple approach to teaching made immediate impact and various difficult concepts were taught with great ease. This led me along with a group of more than ten friends visiting him for personal guidance for at least another couple of years. During this period, I found a mentor and a friend, for life. His relationship goes beyond the professional set up and I have found him next to me during my 
worst days. Dr. Shah has played a significant role in shaping my career and it has been more than 16 years now and I still find him hardly a phone call away!

I wish Dr. Shah very best for Paramarsh and I am sure he will have a positive impact on many lives with this initiative.
